The Apartments

Our old-town house dates back to the year 1327, and was carefully renovated into eight boutique-apartments and a Café. Great care and attention to detail was taken to maintain its original charm and safeguard its heritage-protected elements. Emphasis was paid to the practicality and functionality of the apartments.

The result is an elegant, classic and comfortable feel.

All our rooms offer a modern infrastructure and provide a fully equipped kitchenette and modern bathrooms with showers and hair-dryers. Each unit is fitted with a coffee machine and free-flowing coffee capsules. There are flat-screen TV’s with over 100 channels and complimentary high-speed internet throughout the entire building. The safety of our guests is our ultimate concern and Associates are trained to deal with emergencies. Fire extinguishers are located on each floor.

Over the roofs of the old town

A very unique highlight of the property is the Brugger Café, which is open to the public and is popular amongst locals, to mingle and meet-up with friends. The Café’s terrasse provides scenic views onto the river Aare and the „Salzhaus“.

A beautiful garden is adjacent to the hotel, where our guests can sit back and relax during the warmer months.

Brugg is a small town in the Canton of Aargau with a population of 11’000 people. The town lies at the foot of the southern Jura mountain range at the famous “water castle” of Switzerland. Here the country’s three main rivers, the Aare, the Reuss and the Limmat meet.

At the end of the 1950s the rapid development of Brugg as an Education City began. In 2006 a further two large education institutes, the Pedagogic College and the University of Applied Science of North West Switzerland were established. The campus of Brugg-Windisch attracts some 3’000 students and is the largest centre of education between the cities of Basel, Bern and Zürich.

It is certainly worth, to spend a few days in the old town of Brugg and the sightseeing attractions in the vicinity. Already the old Romans realized its strategic value and today, we appreciate its well-connected and convenient location.

In Brugg and the surrounding area, there are several attractions of the Roman and Habsburg Empires which invite to visit. Beautiful churches, museums, galleries and cultural highlights await in abundance.
