The historic property is over 600 years old and was extensively renovated and modernized in a three-part renovation phase. It now features 15 business apartments in the historic town of Bremgarten. The various nostalgic elements continue to tell their story in new splendour. We have paid particular attention to the functionality of the interior, while at the same time trying to maintain its original charm.

The Apartments

The traditional hotel with its 15 apartments offers an attractive location in the region. The apartments vary in layout and size and offer 22 – 50m² of space. They are suitable for single or double occupancy. Some rooms can accommodate up to four people. Enjoy the fantastic location and elegant feel of this iconic property, with its modern infrastructure and carefully thought-out functionality and comfort.

Our apartments all have a functional infrastructure. In addition to the fully equipped kitchen with microwave, hob and fridge-freezer, a spacious bathroom with shower and hairdryer and “Pure Herbs” toiletries are standard. In the sitting area guests can zap through the channels on the flat-screen satellite TV with a choice of over 100 channels while enjoying a cup of coffee or tea. The coffee maker comes with free coffee capsules, as well as an electric kettle with a selection of teas.” Wi-Fi is available throughout the building free of charge, with a simple login.

Marco Polo Sonne Bar & Lounge

With the opening of the Sonne Bar & Lounge in September 2019, a new «Place to be» opened in Bremgarten. You can look forward to home-made bar snacks, a large draft beer selection, interesting cocktails and an exclusive range of gin & tonic’s.

Marco Polo Sushi & Steak

The Marco Polo Sushi & Steak Restaurant, enriches the pedestrian area of the old town with a completely new concept. In addition to the great-value lunch menus, we celebrate the fine art of sushi and our fine steaks. Of course, our “Marco Polo East-meets-West classics” from restaurant in Wohlen, are not missing on the menu either.

By car

Marco Polo Business Apartments – Sonne Bremgarten is located in the centre of the pedestrian area. As our guest, you have the convenience to park your vehicle in the private underground car park. Please enter – Schulgasse 2, 5620 Bremgarten – into your navigation system. This way you are guided via bypass road directly to the underground car park entrance. The 16 parking spaces are available to our guests, free of charge, on a first-come-first-serve basis. The hotel can be reached from the underground car park by elevator or stairs.

By train

The hotel is easily accessible by public transport and the train station of Bremgarten can be reached within a few minute’ walk. Regular train connections to and from Bremgarten offer good a convenient option to travel by train and to explore the region.

 

Bremgarten – A pearl on the Reuss

The medieval old town is enclosed on three sides by the Reuss and is a cultural monument of national importance. The historic town of Bremgarten is located about 16 km west of Zurich. The quiet and idyllic town with its charming charm awaits you. During the fairs it shows a lively, busy and very special side. Even today, the centuries-old market tradition continues on Easter, Pentecost and Advent and attracts thousands of visitors.

Bremgarten is the capital of the district of the same name and forms the center of the southeast in the Aargau Reusstals. Bremgarten is close to the important urban centers of Baden and Zurich and at the same time to the Freiamt region, a little-known, but thanks to the intact landscapes very attractive natural area.

In the streets of the historic Old Town were formerly the poet Johannes of Al and the reformer Heinrich Bullinger to be found. Today, the traffic-calmed old town offers a varied gastronomic scene and regular public events.
